My guitar
My guitar is a 1990 Artesano Model 20, made in Spain.
The light stripe below the bridge is, I was told by the music-store guy who sold me the instrument, the result of damage suffered en route from Spain. A luthier in New York repaired the wound, doing a good, but not perfect job.
The repair is noticeable to the eye, but not to the ear. The guitar has lovely tone. Over the years, however, it has lost its intonation, a fault more evident the higher up the neck you go.
Truth is, I'm way overdue for a better guitar. If anyone has a Martin or Taylor classical (or perhaps a Takamine EC132SC classical cutaway acoustic-electric) that they'd care to donate, I'd write brilliant songs on it and would promise not to let small children smudge it up. (See previous entry.)
