My banner
The animated gif banner was created by my daughter, Eliza Cedroni. She shot the photos, sucked them into PhotoShop, messed about for an hour or two, then said, "How's that?"
These photos were just the proof of concept ones, shot quick and dirty to create a mockup of the banner. I had just rolled out of bed and was still in my ragged sweat shirt and jammie bottoms.
I took a shower, shaved, and got dressed up for the real shoot, but her work with the mockups pleased me so much -- and I don't look much better awake and cleaned up, anyway -- that we went with those.
Note to self: Alway assume that any photo shoot is the real thing. It just might turn out that way. Therefore, wipe fingerprints from guitar, just in case.
Ah, the fingerprints. A few days earlier, I performed for children at a local library. After the show, a dozen or so sweaty-fingered youngsters -- several of them toddlers -- got to touch and strum my guitar. Feeling the vibration of the sound board when a chord is struck is fun, even for me. Should have cleaned off the marks right after. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
From these pictures it appears that I only know two chords: a first position C and an upper position 7b5. In one shot, my little finger has stretched an extra fret, creating a diminished 5th, so I guess, technically, that makes three chords I know. Woo hoo!
As for the banner, anyone wanting something similar -- or, for that matter, wildly different -- contact Eliza through her website at kdcfoto.com, explain what you need, and she'll give you a quote. Your rate won't be as good as mine was (free), but should be reasonable, considering what she's able to do.
She can also probably answer your PhotoShop questions, if you are trying to do a project yourself.
